This year has been a great year for Clean North we have added two new members to the crew, Bgirl Tiger Lilly (Lilly Wilkins) & Bgirl Labyrinth (Himani Bhardwaj). Bradford has seen a rise in the amount of female dancers over the past couple years. These two girls have shown great passion and work really hard to improve, they both completed a trial with us and every member of the crew thought them worthy to join the team.

In the dictionary a Labyrinth is described as “a complicated irregular network of passages or paths in which it is difficult to find one’s way; a maze”. This describes Himani’s style so well and is how she came to have the name Labyrinth. When dancing she creates unique and complex shapes that amaze the crowd and audience, whether professional dancers or general public they all find it hard to figure out how she moves the way she does. She is unique and a great addition to the team.

Lilly was chosen because of the effort she puts into her dance. She works very hard to achieve her goals and doesn’t stop until she hits her targets. This is what Clean North needs dedicated young members. Her style is very light, bouncy and energetic. She previously trained as a cheerleader and also did freestyle dance for many years, so she has great flexibility and has clean movements. I see great potential in her and think she could do well.

As a crew we are always looking to keep things fresh. We try to keep a balance between battles, performances and any other work we have. This year we plan to enter more battle around the UK and a few abroad so look out for us.
