Clean North hit Floor Wars 2015 and visited Denmark for the first time. We had an amazing trip, mainly due to our most entertaining crew member Stylez. We set off down to Luton Airport at 1.30am and arrived in Copenhagen around 11am.
Straight away I was hyped to try some Danish Pastries and they didn’t disappoint, I would visit Denmark again for these alone. We stayed at Danhostel which was great, better than some hotels I have stayed at. After an hours sleep, which is all the sleep I really got, we set off to the jam. We cyphered a lot before the battles started and it was good to see most of the bboys/bgirls getting down, shout out to Funk Fockers for throwing down strong. Clean North entered in the crew (BC, Stylez & Tranquil), toprock (Fox & Tranquil) and under 18’s solo battle (Labyrinth), it was great to have a someone represent in each category. Respect to Royal Battalions for qualifying, Candy and Victor Jay for winning the top rock and AJ The Cypher Cat for reaching the Final.
The event was next level. I haven’t seen so many amazing battles back to back in a long time. The energy was unbelievable. 7 Commandoz were truly beasts, they were inspirational to watch and kept bringing fresh moves all the way to the final. It was also good to see my Flava Squad family Fléau and Promo much respect. Footage of all the Clean North battles can be viewed below.
