You know what time it is, Breaker of the Month!!! We are so happy to announce our winner, Bgirl Firework from Industrial Techniques Crew. This month we are breaking away from our duo-toned colour theme to showcase the reason why Firework gained her bgirl name. The first reason Orlaigh became Firework is due to her incredible hair colour and secondly because of her explosive energy.
Firework is the younger sister of Amelie, one of the original breaker of the months from 2017. Having an older sister gain this title has definitely influenced her and over the past 6 months we have seen a rapid development in her breakin and she has also doubled her training regimen.
Firework was the obvious choice to receive this award. She really stood out above the rest and ticked all the boxes. She has improved significantly and is training regularly. Firework has also consistently been a dedicated member of her crew, which is a very important part of hip hop culture. Every session she would push herself to get to the next level, learning harder moves and working on the details of her throwdowns.
Firework has a great attitude when it comes to the dance, she is enthusiastic, tough and doesn’t run away from a challenge. You will never see her give up, Firework just keeps on pushing forward towards her goal and if she happens to get knocked down or fails a move, she gets back up and brushes it off. Firework has a friendly character and will often take time to help those who are younger than her in classes. She has a lot of patience with the younger students and this is great to see.
When it comes to battling Orlaigh has experience and keeps her composure under pressure even when battling her older sister, which she often does. She has taken part in both the Bradford Brawl events and was in the Squad for the B.Tactical™ battles at Tech Styles 4. We are confident she will do well when it comes the Breaker of the Month finals.
Her parents are behind her all the way when it comes to breakin. It just goes to show how important it is to have that support and what can be achieved when you do have it. For 9 years old she is on fire and we hope she continues on this path. Congratulations Bgirl Firework!
